Janet Matic

Janet first became involved in the EMUsicians program as a parent volunteer in 2004. This continued for 2 years until she officially joined the EMUsicians team in 2006.
Janet started out as a classroom teacher in 1987 and it wasn't until many years later that the opportunity arose to become a school music teacher. She is currently based at Boat Harbour Primary school.
In her spare time Janet also teaches private piano students. She plays the Alto Saxophone in the Burnie Concert Band and the Stage Band known as "Sync or Swing". Janet hopes that her passion for music will rub off on to students and enrich their lives as much as it has hers.
